Don't normally leave reviews, but have to give LW their flowers. The fabric is thick, warm, and rugged. I also really like the pattern I got it in (cedarwood plaid). I've worn it at work and gone out to bars wearing it. The price was no-brainer too, paid about $40 for everything. Could've gone to Macys or wherever to get a flannel and paid 80 easily probably. Also I bought a size too big, the return and exchange was painless.
They run true to size. I usually wear large, and after one wash the fabric thickens up and shrinks a bit, and now it fits my torso like a glove. Would definitely order a size up if you're going for oversize. Good luck LW, would definitely buy again!

A: It's important to wash flannels properly to preserve them for as long as possible. Due to being made of cotton fabric, a flannel shirt is prone to shrinking. To avoid this, always use cool or warm water. Never wash a flannel shirt in hot water.
You should also be mindful of the detergent you use. Harsh detergents can cause the color and pattern to quickly fade. Use a moderate amount of a mild detergent and set the washer to a gentler wash cycle than you would use for rougher material.
When drying, avoid excessive heat or extended duration. This can ruin the fabric of a flannel shirt and cause shrinkage. To be safe, use a low heat cycle or hang the flannel shirt to air dry.
Other clothing made of wool or fleece fabric will have different washing procedures. Check the label to verify what material your shirt is made of before putting it in the washer.
